 GRUPO MARJAL

In 1979 two entrepreneurs, Francisco Gómez  and José Fur, decided to take on a common project uniting their resources and experience and founded what was to be Grupo Marjal. Initially their objectives were centred solely on the building sector but gradually they began to diversify, creating companies in other sectors.

Since then until the present nearly 30 years has past, time in which countless numbers of projects have been carried out, improving infrastructures and work processes, resulting in what Grupo Marjal is today, a strong holding capable of taking on any challenge with a degree of professionalism and dedication forged from years of experience and a policy of total guarantee.

Grupo Marjal unites a large spectrum of activities: construction, promotion and sales of homes; steel structures for foundations and building, cement factory, aluminium work firm, landscaping firm, a modern eco-tourism facility,  sports complex and gymnasium, a cutting edge fish factory as well as a luxury rural hotel with Spa as well as two petrol stations. Companies that have chosen the path of growth through diversification but always insuring the highest quality in service and complying to the strictest of quality standards. The idea of quality is an ongoing challenge for the Group as we strive to gain annually our ISO 9001:2000 certificates (European "kite mark" of quality), two of the companies of the Group also have the ISO 14000:1996 in environmental management.

The Marjal Group is a generator of employment in the province of Alicante: it directly employs around 170 people, this number is multiplied by the jobs that are indirectly are generated by Grupo Marjal's activity.

Grupo Marjal has an ongoing collaboration with institutions such as the University Miguel Hernandez of Elche sponsoring many projects relating to environment issues as well as international conference programmes and conservation awards. Grupo Marjal's collaboration also extends to other institutions and organs through patronage and active sponsorship of cultural and sporting events.
